Our Florida Adventures

Greetings from soggy South West Florida :)  Things here are going well.  Just certainly a lot different than Central Virginia.  I have never seen so much rain in my life- oh my.  It seems to rain just about every other day.  I have been told that we are in tail end of rainy season- rainy season??  Oh my- there is a rainy season?  Definitely, something that will take some getting used to. The bugs are also very different here :(

We are getting into a nice routine with Homeschooling- yea!!  And having Michael home every night is definitely- AWESOME:)

We have been here 3 weeks and had some interesting animals come to visit and get out of the rain.  We have had lizards- lots of lizards:)  We like lizards, so no biggie.  Trying to keep the cats away from the lizards is proving to be more challenging.  Spiders- not a big fan of.  This cutie showed up on our door after a very heavy rain storm:
The cats are loving the lanai.  Every morning, they "patiently" wait for me to get up, feed them and open the glass sliders:
Speaking of heavy rains storms- yikes.  We had a nasty storm that dropped a lot of water quickly.
Before the down pour
I haven't seen that much rain in Virginia other than during a tornado.  Our road ended up flooding out- good thing we didn't need to go anywhere.  It was crazy.  After the storm the boys just had to go and investigate:

Where is the road??

Kevin in the middle of our road

Nathan not sure what is going on as he is standing at the end of our driveway.

Nathan and Michael in the middle of the street.

Want to hear something crazy??  When the boys were playing in the water, our neighbor pointed out a catfish that swam by.  Yes, you read that right- a catfish was swimming down our road- oh my.  The things you see in Florida:)

More of Our Florida Adventures coming next week.....
