Having 4 very messy active boys and add hubby to the mix almost always guarantees plenty of super dirty clothes in the clothes hamper.  I jumped at the chance to test out Purex plus Clorox 2 detergent.

Purex plus Clorox 2 detergent combines the bright clean of Purex with an extra powerful boost of Clorox 2 stain fighters.  Purex plus Clorox 2 works on 100 of the toughest stains, is safe for colors and is bleach free :)  It is available in Original Fresh and Sunny Linen.

Purex plus Clorox 2 detergent contains 3 stain fighting enzymes to remove starchy stains like chocolate and tomato sauce, protein-based stains like grass and blood and food stains that use guar gum like ice cream and BBQ sauce.

I couldn't wait to try it out and tested it on several shirts.  I wish I had of thought about taking before and after pictures but I was so excited about the laundry, I forgot.  I used Purex plus Clorox 2 on shirts that contained grease for my oldest son's job, dried blood and oil from oiling my hair.  All super hard stains to get out.  I didn't pretreat any stains.  I loaded them in the washer, add the detergent and turned it on.  So how did it do?  I was super impressed, it got out the greasy fast food stains, the dried blood and the hair oil :)

Dial Kids Foaming Hand Wash is great.  It dispenses just the right amount of nice foamy soap for kids to use.  It is gentle and easily rinses clean away.  We have crazy water here in Florida.  Sometimes, the water is hard and sometimes our water is too soft and it is hard to get any soaps off of us.  But Dial Kids Foaming Hand Wash washed clean away every time.

This is what happens when you turn your back just for a second to help with some school work and your 5 year old has a bingo marker :)

I know that Dial baby body & hair wash is technically for babies, but we tried it out anyways.  Actually, even though my younger boys are passed baby stage, I still use baby shampoo and body washes on them.  I love the smell and we still have quite the stock pile from when my youngest was a baby.  So, why not use it, right?  I was quite disappointed that the Dial body & hair wash is fragrance free.  The product is nice and thick and still cleans nicely, just without the smell of traditional body and hair washes.  My boys skin was nice and soft and their hair was clean :)

Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets Review & Giveaway

What was I thinking??  Signing up to test our dryer sheets when we don't use our dryer that often:)  We started brainstorming all the alternatives of using dryer sheets.

I was told that dryer sheets have the same ingredients as magic erasers and can tackle soap scum on glass shower doors.  Ohhhh, I got excited to test that one out.  Evidently, our sulfur Florida well water is resistant to cleaning.  That didn't work for us :(

Purex Crystals Dryer sheets smell AMAZING.  The nice Spring smell was coming through the box.  And then it hit me.  I live with 5 smelly guys.  I put a dryer sheet in their dressers, in my closet and Kevin cut a dryer sheet in half and put it in his shoes.  He says he shoes smell great.  I will take his word for it:

Thanks to a very sick cat, we have had the pleasure of using our dryer this week.  I had forgotten about the nice, soft, warm and snuggly towels that come out of the dryer:

The smell on the freshly dried towels was very faint.  You really had to smell the towel to smell the scent left behind on the towel.  But they were warm and soft.

I was excited when the Dial box arrived :)  It was like Christmas.  I love receiving goodies and surprises in my mailbox :)

At first glance at the names of the scents, I wasn't sure what to think.  I thought the Yellow Raspberry was going to be too fruity.  Boy was I wrong, it smells great.  Kind of like a sweet tart.  Mmmmm- sweet tarts.  The Coconut Lime Verbana does not smell like coconut at all.  It is floral but it is a light floral and the light scent stays on your hands.  It is refreshing.  I am not a huge fan of anything floral but this is not bad at all :)

Looking at the bottle you will notice these black particles floating around.  These cool little things are micro scrubbers.  When washing your hands, you feel them working.  It is an interesting and neat feeling :)

Purex Crystals Review & Giveaway

I was excited to try out Purex Crystals.

I have tried laundry enhancers before and have not been too thrilled with them.  They smell great out of the bottle but once you line dry the clothes, poof the sent is gone :(

I figured the same with Purex Crystals but once again they proved me wrong.  I am so in love with this nice crisp scent.  I put the crystals in first, then add detergent, add clothes and walk away.

When rinse time comes, I even add vinegar to my rinse cycle.  As most of you know, we line dry our clothes.  And to my absolutely wonderful surprise, the line dried clothes I washed using Purex Crystals smell awesome.  You can still smell the scent of the crystals on my clothes, towels, sheets and anything else I needed to wash :)  I love it:)

While packing up the house, I have found all kinds of things.  I have run across a box of baby clothes from way back when:)  I am gathering all the baby clothes and taking them to a consignment store on Monday.  I found the cutest shirt, unfortunately it had spit up stains on it:(  And I knew the consignment store was not going to take it.  I threw the shirt in the washer with a handful of the grated Fels-Naptha bar and let it do what ever it was going to do.  I now wish I had of taken a picture of this dirty shirt.

The washer was done and I pulled out the shirt and to my surprise the very old spit up stain was gone- yea!!  I am loving this stuff :)  With 4 boys my current laundry detergent does a good job but sometimes my boys have stains beyond its cleaning capabilities.  It is nice to see I now have a kick butt laundry booster:)

As most of you know, we try as hard as we possibly can to not use the dryer to save money.  But in the interest of reviewing this oh so great smelling product, we decided to make an exception. 

As soon as the Fed Ex truck dropped off the box, I ripped open the box and couldn't wait to wash and dry a load of towels that have been patiently waiting the arrival of this box.

I opened the box and was instantly hit with a fresh Lavender scent.  I love lavender, it is so soothing and calming.  The box states it has 3 times the fragrance versus previous sheets.

Nathan: (Running out with a very concerned look on his face) MOM~ come quick there is something in the potty.

Nathan: Are you sure?  What does it do?
Me: It cleans the potty.
Nathan- Oh, can I pee on it?
Me: NO, what is it with you and your brother both wanting to pee on it?
Nathan just looks at me and grins:)

LOL- only in a house full of boys would they see not a toilet bowl hanger but a cool looking target- oy:)
