I know some of you are patiently waiting for the results of our popcorn experiments.
We accidentally left the popcorn bags out overnight. The next morning, I went out to check on them to discover the bag that was left outside was wet with dew. That's not good- note to self- don't leave paper bags out overnight :) That was a FAIL :(
I then went over to the van and checked on that one. All kernels were still in the bottom- no popping occurred. So, we decided to leave the bag in the van while we went house hunting in Florida. And it got HOT.
The results:
Still no popped popcorn. FAIL :(
Even though it was discouraging. we discovered that you cannot pop popcorn in your vehicle on a hot 90 degree day. We may revisit this experiment when we move to hot and steamy Florida :)
i coudlnt wait- i looked it up online and it said something like- it had to be inside the kennel at 450 degrees- i knew it wasnt going to work...but i was hoping- it sure sounds like something my kids would have loved to watch
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it would get hot enough to work either but curiosity and a 9 year old science loving child- we just had to find out:) Wow 450 degrees- YIKES:)
