This was supposed to be posted last night but thanks to a big nasty storm that knocked out our power until today :(
We had the pleasure of testing out Soft Scrub 4in1 Toilet Care.
What makes Soft Scrub 4in1 Toilet Care different? Unlike other toilet bowl rim hangers that don't stay in place or dissolve too quickly, Soft Scrub 4in1 Toilet Care provides long lasting cleaning and freshening thanks to its unique design and advanced formula. The plastic cage keeps the product in place and allows water to activate the cleaner with each flush. What's more, it freshens for up to 4 weeks and costs less than $2. It is available at Walmart.
I am all for keeping toilets cleaner, preventing future build ups, fighting toilet rings and freshening for up to 4 weeks. Any thing to make my cleaning schedule more easier, I am there:)
So far so good, I haven't had the chance to test it for the full 4 weeks. It has sparked some interesting conversation for the younger ones:
Little Michael: Mom, what is hanging in the potty?
Me: It is a potty cleaner, don't touch it.
Little Michael: OK, Can I pee on it?
Me: NO, you can't pee on it.
Nathan: (Running out with a very concerned look on his face) MOM~ come quick there is something in the potty.
Me: Nathan, it is OK, that is just a potty cleaner.
Nathan: Are you sure? What does it do?
Me: It cleans the potty.
Nathan- Oh, can I pee on it?
Me: NO, what is it with you and your brother both wanting to pee on it?
Nathan just looks at me and grins:)
LOL- only in a house full of boys would they see not a toilet bowl hanger but a cool looking target- oy:)

Christopher's Graduation Day
Well the day had finally arrived. The day he worked very hard for this year. From Freshman to Junior, his grades weren't too terribly bad but you could tell he wasn't giving it his all. Senior year rolls around and now he decides to get serious. I am so happy that he made Honor Roll all year, his last year of school.
He was doing fine until Sunday morning. Butterflies started fluttering in his stomach- he was very nervous.
Michael and I along with our entire family are so very proud of our very first High School Graduate:) Now, he has to figure out what he wants to do with the rest of his life. He is undecided if he wants to retake the ASVAB (he missed by 3pts his first go round), go to community college or just wants to work for now while he figures it all out. His best friend- his "brother" from another mother- and our next door neighbor (who I used to babysit- I have watched Dana grow up into such a remarkable young lady) also graduated. We couldn't be prouder. We wish them the very best in everything they do and hope life treats them well:)

Lowe's Build & Grow Clinic~ June 8th & 9th, 2013
Lowes will be hosting a Build & Grow Clinic on June 8th at 10am and on June 9th at 2pm.
If you are looking for a great free activity that you can do with your kids- you should check out the Lowes Build & Grow Clinics. Little Michael and Nathan love them. They love being able to do hands on projects with our help.
This weekend, Lowes Build and Grow Clinic will be building a Monster Univeristy Scarers- perfect for any Monsters, Inc fans:)
To sign up for this Build & Grow Clinic, simply go to the Lowes Build & Grow Clinic website, which they have redone to make it more user friendly. I am loving this new website. You register all your information. Then when you visit the website to sign up for an upcoming clinic, all you have to do is sign in and check which kids you are signing up. Don't forget to print and sign the waiver. And you and your child(ren) are ready for a really cool FREE hands on project.
Once you and your child(ren) complete the project they will receive a neat patch to put on their Lowes Build & Grow apron. If this is your first clinic, your child(ren) will receive a free Lowes Build & Grow apron and goggles:) The more clinics you do, the more patches you get to put on your kids apron and they can show them off with pride:)

June 2013 Monthly Spending
Here is where I will keep a list of our spending for the month of June. We are going to attempt to have a $200 grocery budget. This is for everything for our family of 6 and 2 pets. We did OK last month and went over by $34. Our $200 monthly grocery budget should be doable this month, we had a lot of leftovers from Christopher's graduation party and the soups I had last month are very hearty and filling, so we were able to stretch them for 2 dinners. We have food in our freezer, pantry and refrigerator that needs to get eaten:) So, let's see how we do this month:
06/03/13
$2.54- CVS #1 and got $7 in ECB's
$2.37- CVS #2 and got $6 in ECB's
$10.50- Dollar Tree
$15.75- Walmart
06/10/2013
$29.29- Sam's Club

$6.24- Chesterfield Berry Farm
$41.88- Walmart

$1.69- CVS #2 and got $8 ECB

Yes, we went over. I didn't think about all the extra soft and mushy foods we would have to buy due to Chris and Michael's dental surgery. But on the plus side, we did get creative and streched out some meals, so we still have lots of food in our pantry and freezer. Now that everyone is on the same meal plan, lets see how we do for July:)
