January 2015 Monthly Project

Nathan has found that he loves the show Master Chef Jr.  He has been watching the it on Hulu.  Nathan has decided that he wants to learn how to cook. He was super excited when I told him that our January project was making ketchup.  Kevin and Nathan love ketchup. They put ketchup on just about everything.

I found a super easy ketchup recipe on Heavenly Homemakers :)

Here is how it went:

Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix

Pour into bottle

Nathan with his ketchup creation

Voila Homemade Ketchup

This recipe was great for a first recipe for Nathan.  Super easy~ just measure, mix, bottle and refrigerate :)

He was quite proud of himself.  Now for the part everyone is waiting on~ how does it taste?

Nathan thinks his ketchup is too sweet.  So, he will be making it again but this time he will half the sugar in the recipe.  Chris and Kevin love the ketchup and use it often :)
