Coming home after evacuating is definitely nerve racking. We weren't sure how our house would look. We didn't know if we had power or not. We didn't know how much of our food we lost. We were very lucky that our house suffered no damage and we only had a little plant damage. The hurricane did mess up our water tank but that is fixable. Our neighbor came over and let us know that not only did they stay but they did not lose power at all during or after the hurricane. YAY :) All of the food in our freezer was still good :) Thankfully, our grocery trip was quick and easy. Well, sort of. We ran to Walmart Friday night because Aldi's was closed and the shelves were empty :(
We ran to Aldi the next day and they had food~ such a happy sight. I was doing a little happy dance :)
