Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends Review and Giveaway- CLOSED

My boys were all too excited when I was asked to try out and do a review for cereal.  Around here, cereal is a rare treat.  They normally eat cereal when we visit my inlaws- the grandparents love to sugar up the grandbabies and send them home all hyped up:)

We had the pleasure to test out Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends cereal. 

I have had Honey Bunches of Oats cereal before and liked it.  But I was not sure of this Tropical Blends cereal.  Crispy mango flakes with real coconut shavings and coconut flavored granola clusters.  Hmmmm- how would that taste?

I was happy to learn that Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends cereal has 10g Whole Grain, 120 calories, lower sugar than other brands, 9 Essential Vitamins and Minerals including 60% Daily Value of Iron, 4 Wholesome grains and is heart healthy with 0g Trans Fat, 0.5g Saturated Fat and 0mg Cholesterol.

I let the boys have first crack at it.  They instantly fell in love with this cereal, even my picky 3 year old liked Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends.

My opinion~ the cereal was not overly sweet.  I could definitely taste the mango flakes.  They seemed to overpower the cereal.  I couldn't taste the coconut even though there were coconut flakes and coconut flavored granola clusters.  Which is a shame because I love coconut. Not my favorite but not the worst I have tasted.
